Oh hey… I’m Christeen, the face behind Love Olive. Photography. I have a minimalistic home-studio in Aveley, Swan Valley, Perth where I capture Maternity, Newborn & Milestone Portraits. Living in the beautiful Swan Valley, Western Australia I also have access to lots of amazing outdoor locations to hold Children, Milestone & Family Portrait Sessions.
I have over 9 years photography experience and have been working with babies & children for over 20 years and hold a Cert. 3 in Children’s Services. I studied photography at school but I fell in love with it as a young child. My late Nan (Olive) was always encouraging me, the amount of times she would get dragged for long walks and have to stop multiple times when I spotted something I wanted to capture … she was just the most kind & amazing human being and one of my biggest supporters.
Now with all that said, what you really need to know is that I love creating authentic images for families, it’s my absolute passion. From the moment you find out you are expecting a little one your world changes, it’s a love that you never imagined could be possible, your body grows to accomodate the special little life you are carrying, it is such a whirlwind and I, for one, am 100% here for it!
Then the day comes that your baby arrives earthside, an unforgettable moment in time! Newborns are pure perfection, therefore I love to capture them & all of their tiny little details using neutral soft fabrics, keeping it minimal so the focus is all on baby.
You blink and they are sitting, crawling, walking, first birthday … gah first day of Kindy!! I can capture all of these special milestones too!
Now here’s the thing… as parents it’s so important to exist in photos, there is no PERFECT time, let’s go back and read that again! The right time is NOW, these images are for your babies, your mini humans who love and adore you! They do not care if you need your hair done, aren’t wearing makeup, want to get a new outfit (heck I can even help you with that – say hello to my little friend – Client Wardrobe), or any other reason that’s holding you back…. they just want YOU! Trust me!! And hey for the Dad’s who don’t like photos (hand’s up if this is you), I got you… no awkward posing or saying “cheese” YUK! There will be none of that here! We play games, we laugh, we have fun… but seriously don’t book me if you want the forced smile photos haha.
I love working with children and it’s often been said that I have a real gift when it comes to capturing their little personalities. You see, I don’t want to capture their fake smiles… no no no, that simply will not do. I want to get their personalities to shine through, their laugh, their cheeky little faces when they are up to no good, their love for all the magic they see around them.

I had the delight of seeing a call out post for pregnant women of a certain gestation to model some new outfits and showcase maternity photo styles. I’m not one to like photos of myself, but these… wow! With minimal editing, she produced a portfolio of photos that brought tears of disbelief and awe.
The studio space is comfortable, bright, and well organised, catering to the needs to clients.

We had a newborn photoshoot with Christeen (Love Olive. Photography) at her home studio. Our first impression was that her home and studio was so beautiful and clean. Cleanliness is so important to us as our baby girl was only 2 weeks old. Christeen was so sweet and gentle with our daughter. She was so easy to talk to and overall just a really kind, friendly and beautiful person. It was such a peaceful session as Christeen knows how to handle our newborn and kept her calm. I felt so relaxed as I didn’t need to do anything and could just sit and watch. I had so much anxiety before the newborn photoshoot as I was worried our baby girl is going to keep crying but that didn’t happen. Christeen has a gorgeous range of clothes in her client wardrobe! There were so many beautiful dresses and clothes for newborn and kids as well. I had so much fun looking through the client wardrobe while Christeen was taking photos of our baby girl. Christeen even made me a cup of tea and told me that I could take a sneaky nap if I wanted to since I haven’t slept much since the birth of our daughter. During our newborn session, Christeen took her time to put on different outfit on our baby girl and we even had time for a nappy change and a feed. I chose 2 dresses from her client wardrobe and tried them on before selecting my favourite one to wear for the photos. While I was trying on the dresses, Christeen used that time to take photos of my husband with our daughter. I joined the photo after I chose my dress. We love our photos and will always remember our newborn session with Christeen. Thank you Christeen for capturing precious memories for us and they will be treasured for years to come! ❤
