Birth photography can be nerve wracking for a many reasons; feeling insecure with a stranger (who isn’t medical staff) seeing you naked and vulnerable, worrying the photographer will miss your call and not arrive at the birth on time, and knowing that if you don’t like how the images turn out, that you can’t re-do it like other shoots. Amy will put all those worries to bed. She is as reliable as they come with contact – I always got an instant response. Also, having my baby almost two hours away from Toowoomba, she decided to come as soon as I said I was in labour, rather than wait for active labour to start, which was a great call on her part as active was over within an hour! She made me feel as though she were and old friend, and we were in a normal situation having a catch up wearing clothes (😅) rather than someone I had just met while naked an in pain. I didn’t feel one bit of discomfort with her. As for the photos, she photographed the whole experience with such tact & taste, and really captured the magic of the birth. Worth every cent and something I am so glad we decided to do. Highly recommend her to anybody in the market!

Picking a photographer to photograph our birth was a decision we didn’t make lightly. We wanted someone who would respect our space, capture beautiful images and be able to commit to being on call. We couldn’t have found anyone better than Amy. Her images all tell a story, they convey emotion. She is wonderful to communicate with and kept in touch beautifully while on call for us. She made herself immediately available when we needed her, never seemed rushed and worked seamlessly with the rest of our birth team. WOW oh WOW! Amy has done a huge range of photos for myself and my family – single shot, engagement, wedding, gender reveal, newborn and lifestyle shoot and Christmas photos and i cannot even begin to express how amazing I feel about each and every photo I seriously get tears in my eyes as she has captured our hearts and family so beautifully. She is the most understanding, easygoing, bubbly person I know and every shoot has been amazing!! Yip even for my husband and son who don’t particularly like having their photos taken. She takes the stress away so easily. Cannot recommend Amy Philp Photography enough!

Choosing a photographer for my final pregnancy photos and family shoot was one of those ‘hoping and praying I could find and trust a photographer with such important prints for my family’.. When I found Amy Philp Photography, from beginning to end of our arrangements she was always very easy to approach and talk to about our wants and needs for our shoots. When on set she made a very nervous Me, very comfortable. I struggle in front of a camera and Amy made me feel incredible! Her gentle bubbly nature was incredible when she was working with our children. When I received my photos I could not believe my eyes to the point of crying an abundance of heartfelt tears because the photographs were INCREDIBLE! I have since recommended Amy to every person that mentions photography. If anyone is looking for a photographer PLEASE CONSIDER AMY – her photographs are incredible and you will wish all other photographs you’ve ever had were taken by Amy. Our newborn photo shoot was brilliant & the photos that Amy captured are nothing short of amazing. Amy is such a warm and bubbly person & made us feel so comfortable & as if we’d known her for years. She also handled our toddler having a tantrum with so much patience & kindness which took away the anxiety I felt about him being so uncooperative! The photos we received are so gorgeous & she has a real talent for capturing the sweetness of newborns. I’m so pleased Amy was recommended to us & that we have these pictures to treasure. Amy is amazing! She captured the essence of our family, especially my daughter’s cheeky nature. Amy made my often shy toddler come out of her shell, smile, jump and joyfully show off. I found Amy through a friend, she bought me a gift card for Christmas for a session with my partner & fur baby. Not having done anything like this before, we were both nervous but Amy made the experience more comfortable and less stressful! It was like hanging out with a friend rather than standing in front of a camera. Her joyful, bubbly personality is like no other, not to mention her work is phenomenal. Our pictures turned out better than I could have asked for! And she managed to capture some beautiful images of our dog despite her not co-operating very well on the day. She is the first person I will turn to for any future photography needs!
