Hi, I’m Katie from KMerritt Photography. I believe that everyone deserves beautiful photographs of their newborns, children, and family.
I’ve completed extensive training, including newborn safety and CPR. Continuously seeking new knowledge, I stay up-to-date with the latest techniques to enhance my skills. Additionally, I’m fully vaccinated, ensuring the safety of your precious newborns against whooping cough and COVID-19.
Nothing brings me greater joy than witnessing my clients’ faces light up as they view their photos from our sessions. From initial nervousness in front of the camera to genuine relaxation and enjoyment, the transformation is truly rewarding—for both my clients and me.
My specialisation lies in newborn, maternity, and family photography. Based in Whiteheads Creek, Victoria, I offer both in-home and location sessions.

Katie has been fantastic to work with. Her communication is always fast and friendly. I enquired about a newborn photo shoot and she offered me a complimentary maternity session which I wasn’t sure about, but she made me feel comfortable and the photos ended up lovely.
At no point during our newborn shoot did we feel rushed, she took her time and made sure bub was settled and cosy the whole time. She was patient with our 3 year old and made sure he felt involved too. I couldn’t fault her and will happily use her services again.

We were really worried about how he would go, but as soon as Katie arrived she was amazing. She was patient with him and did most of the settling! Katie was so patient with our 10 and 1 year old for their siblings photoshoot. They were both getting restless but Katie was so wonderful with them and made it fun and we got the most amazing photos out of it. She was very helpful before the shoot as well, with tips on what clothes they should wear and what colours. I highly recommend Katie for any photos.
