I am a multi award winning professional Gold Coast newborn photographer and newborn photography teacher to students worldwide. I have a specially dedicated newborn photography studio, located in Upper Coomera on the Gold Coast. I also hold a certificate in safe Newborn Photography posing, through the Academy of Newborn Photography. Newborn and older baby photography as well as family photography is my absolute passion. Photographing new babies with their family and creating baby artworks literally nourishes my soul!
I have been in business on the Gold Coast since 2013, and I have photographed over 2000 new Gold Coast babies.
I have taken part in many training courses and mentoring not only to continuously learn more about the art of photography and photographing babies, but to also keep up to date, with the latest technology from Adobe Photoshop, Apple, Canon, and many prop vendors on the Gold Coast & worldwide.
Personally, together my wonderful husband and I have two kids, a little IVF miracle girl born in 2013 and a little man miraculously conceived naturally and born two years later. I’m not one to really talk about myself, but I always get asked if I have kids of my own. Between my family and photographing babies & families on the Gold Coast, that takes up most of my time. I do love a killer cup of coffee though and I have a sickening obsession with shopping for all things home decorating, fashion and makeup.

I feel compelled to issue a warning to those considering this service due to my own misleading experience. The website presents what appears to be ‘discounted’ prices for their services. However, be aware that these prices only cover the shoot itself and do not include any images. Should you wish to actually obtain any images from your shoot, be prepared to pay in the vicinity of $1000. This crucial information is not immediately visible, especially if you’re viewing on a mobile device. It’s hidden behind a “show more” button, or worse, you’ll only discover this after your payment has been processed and your money taken, with a strict no-refund policy under any circumstances.
Additionally, the booking portal restricts title expansion, where crucial details about the shoot being a ‘deposit’ might be hidden. Without the supposed discount, each photo is priced at $239, requiring a minimum purchase of 5 photos – that’s a staggering $1195 for just 5 digital photos! For such a price, it might be worthwhile to consider other services.
I was further disappointed by the service when, after expressing my unawareness of these extra costs to Tanha, the suggestion to cancel the shoot was quickly made. Ironically, the shoot day saw rain, which would have led to a cancellation anyway. Yet, no exemptions or alternatives were offered to accommodate the unforeseen weather conditions.
I felt misled by the deceptive advertising and lack of transparency regarding the true cost of the service. Those interested in this service should proceed with caution and ensure they have all the information before making any commitments. Also I suggest looking into your consumer rights with the ACCC and Queensland Office of Fair Trade if you feel deceived by a business.

* Cancellation Policy and Specifics of Melissa’s Case: Regarding the cancellation policy, Melissa chose to cancel the session on the morning of the shoot, stating “we can’t afford to pay that”. It’s crucial to note that this decision was entirely hers. We had offered a layby payment plan to make the payments more manageable, but her response, only two minutes later, was to cancel the session. Despite the weather, her cancellation was not influenced by external factors; had she chosen to proceed, we would have happily rescheduled for a day with better weather, ideal for a sunset session.
* Commitment to Transparency and Fair Business Practices: We are dedicated in our commitment to clear and fair business practices. This includes ensuring all clients are fully informed about our pricing and policies, which align with ACCC guidelines and the Queensland Office of Fair Trade. We provide the information, which we do clearly, but reading the information given to you is your responsibility.
* Addressing Defamation: We take the reputation of our business very seriously. The misleading and false statements made in this review are being considered as defamation. We have referred this matter to our legal advisor to address this appropriately and to protect our business and its integrity.

We found Tanha 6 years ago when she photographed our son, we have since had 2 more children and of course there was no other option. Everything was so organized and easy Her set up is incredible and with so many options of layouts and accessories and even had a beautiful range of clothes for myself my mother and also my other 2 children to wear during the shoot. The hardest part is picking the photos to keep because every photo is incredible. Although we are done having children we will love to see Tanha in the future for another family photo. Highly highly recommended 🙂

Tanha photographed me for my maternity shoot back in March and it was an amazing experience and the photos were fabulous. She has recently however, outdone herself with the newborn photoshoot we had with our twin girls.
