I knew Maggie well before I had even planned to have a baby and I always knew I wanted her to be the one to take my photos. This year was finally the year that this got to happen. Maggie was just amazing with how she handled my little Blake, I even picked up on the little forehead strokes she did as I didn’t realise it can help close the eyes. I do it all the time to my sleepy baby now. The photos Maggie took I adore because I find she ensures all the baby wrinkles and marks are shown, I didn’t like the idea of the photo being edited too much that his face would look too smooth but as seen in these photos you can see his beautiful features. Maggie also did my maternity photos which were again, AMAZING! The maroon dress she had me wear, I never felt so beautiful while pregnant. We have also just left a mini Christmas session with our now 5 month old and I already know the photos will be amazing. Even with the toddlers who didn’t want to play at the start 😂

When I found out I was pregnant with our second I was in two minds as to whether to get maternity photos as well as newborn photos… See, as a plus size mama, I worry about professionals taking my photo because not all photographers are equal and I’ve had some pretty horrible experiences! After spending months researching photographers in our area, I made contact with Maggie, and had a chat to get a feel for what she was like as a person, and loved her gentle nature straight away. I ended up booking her for our Maternity and newborn shoot and then waited for the day to come about. About a week and a half out I had a freak out moment and decided to bring forward the shoot if possible because I was concerned baby may make her appearance sooner rather than later… Maggie was more than happy to oblige and made the experience fun for not just me, but also my husband and son. We received our photos within just a few days and we absolutely love them. The love our family has for each other, the fun we have together and the live we have for our almost earthside sweet babe we’re captured with a gentleness and sense of fun and I’m so glad I put my trust in her!
