Hi! I’m Amy Tong. I’m a maternity, newborn and baby photographer in Sydney’s Inner West. My beautiful studio is in the heart of Balmain – my home suburb for almost 20 years. Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the honour to photograph hundreds of babies and their families. I’ve also been chuffed to win awards for my work. You may have also spotted some of my photos in your local supermarket on Curash baby products 🙂
As a Mum of 3 little ones, I know all too well just how quickly babies grow up. Capturing these precious moments is so important to me. I feel like it’s my life’s calling to help families hold on to these moments through photography. Sometimes in the fog of sleepless nights and feeds time can pass us by all too quickly. It’s my wish that by looking back on these moments you’ll remember all the love for the new person in your life, and that these photos will be special to your family for generations to come.
My work has been described as natural and simple. I use minimal props and decorations in my images. I’ve seen many trends come and go in my industry over the years… but natural unfussy photos of your baby in all their perfection will never date.

Amy is so much fun to work with. Highly recommend Amy if you are after a fun filled photoshoot and high quality images. We did our maternity photoshoot and will be going back for the baby shoot later on. The experience was amazing, the turnaround with the photos are quick, the studio is well equipped / large and comfortable. Beautiful photos and a beautiful person. We saw another photographer with our first baby and didn’t love the experience. The photos had lots of props and I felt like our skin was too photoshopped and plastic looking. What a different experience we had with Amy. The shoot itself was so much more relaxed. My 2 year old who is very shy warned to Amy almost immediately and she was very patient and kind helping him to feel comfortable to be involved in the photos too.
