How do I arrange a newborn session with Niki Sprekos Photography?

Most clients either telephone me or contact me via website or private message on Instagram or Facebook.

Once you contact me, you will receive an email quote which links you to your own portal for you to select your newborn package that suits your family. Once that is selected, all that is required is a deposit to secure your spot.

Niki Sprekos Photography takes a limited number of bookings per month so it’s always best to book in as soon as you possibly can to avoid disappointment. It is also a great thing to get that one item off your “newborn to do” list done! So what are you waiting for! Call 0408114414!

How do I prepare for a newborn session?

To help all my clients, I have created a very detailed newborn preparation guide to ensure we have a successful session and memorable experience.

Some of the things that we cover are location and how to get to the studio, how to prepare for the morning of your session, what to expect during the session, what to wear, hair and makeup, sibling information and of course a list of items to bring.

For newborns there is nothing really that the mums need to bring unless you have specific nappies, wipes and dummy that you require.

Our preparation guide will leave all new families feeling secure that every detail is covered to ensure a flawless shoot.

Before your session I also call the clients to discuss styling options!

What kinds of props and equipment do you provide?

Before every session I have a personalised telephone call to discuss styling. We run through the colours, style and props and cover any questions you may have.

Every client has a different style, so I make sure everyone feels special and ensure their needs are met.

With all shoots I generally will have 2-3 props and shoot with two different backdrops on the beanbag and also have family images (should they want this included) too.

Some props that can be included as baskets, bowls, flotaki, buckets, bed, digital props, etc

What does a newborn session with Niki Sprekos Photography look like?

Newborn sessions are held in my home studio in Malvern East, Melbourne. It is the perfect environment to capture your newborn photographs as it is warm, calm and peaceful – perfect for your newborn baby.

Newborn sessions are held Monday – Fridays and some weekends (fees apply). Sessions start anytime from 9:30-12pm as the studio has beautiful amazing natural light and of course we all know that newborns are best in the morning too!

Newborn sessions last anywhere between 1.5–3 hours. Every newborn is very different depending on the bub, changing etc, but we ensure there is enough time for lots of cuddles, feeds and everyone is nice and relaxed.

Niki Sprekos Photography studio is the perfect place to sit back, relax and watch your newborn’s first photoshoot.

What kind of packages or products are available?

At Niki Sprekos Photography there is a package to suit everyone’s budget. All packages include digital images, USB and options to have albums, announcement cards and of course prints.

Once you select a package at any point in your photography journey, you can upgrade at any time, even once you are viewing your online gallery.

I always get clients who book in for newborn sessions and end up upgrading to a First Year Package once they view their online gallery. First Year Packages include three sessions (newborn, 6 months and 12 months), all images from each session and of course prints and a stunning album.

This has to be one of the most amazing times in all parent’s lives, the miracle of a newborn baby.

I love newborn sessions so much, I love connecting with families, hearing their stories, sharing their love and creating memories that will last forever.

Every family has a story to tell and nothing makes me happier than seeing their images created and of course documented.

Newborns grow so fast and I love being able to freeze this moment in time and photographing those soft and tender moments. There is nothing more beautiful than little newborn feet, fuzzy hair, flakey skin and first smiles. Gosh it honestly makes my heart just sing!
