Hi! My name is Melissa and I live in a small country town in North-West NSW. Together with my husband, we parent our pretty great son and our way-too-energetic Kelpie. My love for photography started in 2002, when my very first niece was born. In 2014, I completed the Click Love Grow Enthusiast Photography Course and followed that up with the Advanced Photography Course in 2015. In 2016, I launched my business and soon after became a curator with ViewBug and in September 2017, I joined the Austockphoto team as a photographer.
I specialise in family, children, lifestyle and wedding photography and love, love, LOVE my job! I love meeting people and learning about them and I pride myself on making my clients feel at ease in their sessions. I am all for letting kids be kids, and not forcing them to sit up straight and look at the camera and getting forced smiles. Where’s the fun in that?! Photo sessions should always be fun and not stressful, and I have many tricks up my sleeve to make my photo shoots relaxed, easy and full of fun and laughter.
I want every single person to have at least one beautiful photo hanging on their wall, taken by a professional photographer. Photos are so important, there for our future generations to look back on and remember that moment or wonder about that person and what they were like. We can all remember how obsessed we were as children with our parent’s photo albums!

I’m someone that doesn’t get my camera out as much as I should and I usually avoid getting in any pictures. Melissa has a way about her that just makes it all feel natural and fun.
