K n J Photography is a fine art portrait photographer who captures who YOU really are in a fun relaxed location of your choice. I not only strive to capture the most perfect memories for your family to admire for years to come but to create fine art masterpieces and family heirlooms to adore forever!
Hi there and welcome! I’m Kelly, but you can call me Kel. I’m a Brisbane family photographer and I’m obsessed with capturing families against magical sunsets and stunning country backdrops in and around my country hometown of Fernvale.
I’m also Mum to three energetic, ever-growing boys, so I know how quickly time passes and kids grow. Before you even realise, the kids are off to school and you’re left wondering where your little babies went.
Thankfully, I’ve photographed my own family throughout the years. The kids at the chubby baby stage, the terrifying toddler stage, the preschool years, and every year after that.
I wanted to capture each milestone and every moment. Not just for me but for my boys too.
I soon realised I could share my skills behind the lens to give the gift of photography to other families.
Then they too could have precious memories to reminisce over in the future.
So, in 2008, my business K N J Photography was born.

I SIMPLY CANNOT! I dont even know where to start!! 🥺 Kelly is ABSOLUTELY amazing. Her work is beyond this planet and she makes you feel so comfortable during the session. We did a family photo shoot with the Highland Cows experience and honestly, THE BEST THING I have ever done. The images are PERFECT, it was such an amazing experience, and well worth it. Our shoot was Saturday afternoon, Monday we had the proofs and Tuesday we had the completed final images!! So so fast. Kelly is so easy to talk to, she stays in communication with you before, during and after the shoot and I honestly can not recommend her enough! If you are looking for a photographer for your family photos who doesnt make things awkward and youre looking for someone chill and not so strictly structred, Kelly is your gal! And dont forget the highland cow encounters because OH MY GOD 😍

I had maternity photos done with Kel almost 13 years ago, and then a family shoot this weekend gone. The purpose of the recent shoot was for my parents anniversary, Kel was so patient and understanding with my elderly father who has never had photos done in his life, and was very hesitant to participate. This year we participated in the True Believer Santa visits Kelly hosted. From the moment we walked in the house it was so festive. Walking in to see Santa was even better with a full set up and of course the highlight SANTA and Mrs Claus! The kids instantly felt at ease with Santa and Mrs Claus as well as Kelly being there as they remembered her. Once Santa started chatting to the kids they did not even notice Kelly walking around snappy the beautiful candid shots!! The kids can not stop talking about meeting Santa and getting to hold Rudolph’s “jingle belt” as the kids called it. The photos are absolutely gorgeous (as always) Kelly really managed to capture some beautiful moments and photos that we will treasure forever.

Kelly provided such a warm and friendly service, from our first enquiry to receiving our precious images she was so helpful and willing to make our experience (and the photos) memorable and enjoyable, in the past I have gotten stressed during photo shoots- but not with Kelly- she makes you feel at ease. She gave us access to her resources on selecting color schemes and clothing and was available to answer all my questions in the lead up to the shoot. During the shoot she had great rapport with my kids and puppy dog which meant our images showed us all relaxed and joyful. Would highly recommend booking with Kelly- you won’t regret it. Kelly was absolute perfection throughout the whole process. This was our first family photo shoot and we were unsure what to expect. From day one she assisted in suggestions for our wardrobe, props to use and locations.
She was fantastic with children and our two dogs (cattle dog and corgi), with the photos coming out amazingly.
The day of the photo shoot was 40 knot winds, with gusts up to 52. You could not tell by the finished product that this was the case. With her experience and professionalism the final photos came out perfect.
I would highly recommend Kelly for any photo shoot you are requiring. 10/10.

Oh my god where do I even start I won a beautiful photo shoot in a competition and this happened to be with knj photography. I contacted Kelly and she was wonderful from the start very informative and polite we booked in the shoot. The day finally arrived it was an overcast bound to rain that afternoon the complete opposite of my ideal golden hour Fields photos, so our location it changed to a forest scene. We arrived and I fell in love with The greenery Kelly was very professional calmed me down because I was stressing out as my darling dog Beau wasn’t exactly cooperative. After a few solo shots of Beau I felt ease. I followed Kelly’s directions as she captures our shots, turns out my darling Beagle is photogenic. The overall experience at the photoshoot was a relaxed environment with a professional who does what she does best buy is down to earth and can have a giggle. After one little sneak peek I couldn’t wait to see the gallery! Kelly showed me her products and they were of such a high quality which was very comforting. She was prompt and had my gallery ready in a flash. I selected the blossom set and had to seive through endless amazing photos to choose just 9! I decided after sometime and then requested to purchase all of the images edited on a USB which was done in a breeze! I picked up my package yesterday and was overwhelmed with how they turned out I will definitely be using Kelly again ! Thanks Kelly! One very happy girl!

I’ve never had professional pictures done before, Kelly made it so relaxing and easy, Was also happy to travel out to our little farm and include our dogs and my horse in the maternity pictures as well as Hubbies bike. She made the process fun, easy and enjoyable, even hubby said he had fun! The end result was pictures that captured how much we love each other, and amazingly she also captured the bond I have with my Filly Freya. If your sitting on the sidelines wondering if you should get pictures done, go for it! The products you get are well worth the costs! And there’s heaps of options for every budget I couldn’t recommend Kelly enough ! This Review is long overdue. Kelly took the first ever photos of our Family together and was also the First Photographer to say yes to working with my two young daughters with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We had been turned down by other photographers because they did not want to work with Children with Special Needs. Kelly was kind, caring and patient which made the shoot more comfortable and made them feel at ease. We now have family photos on our wall and my girls have their very favourite big one in the middle and they absolutely adore it. Kelly is an absolute gem! I was fortunate enough to have seen some of her work through a friend who has been getting family photos with Kelly for a number of years and always loved seeing these images! So as soon as I was far enough through my pregnancy, I contacted Kelly straight away to see what we could do. Kelly was always able to offer advice, information and answered any questions I had! From our initial conversation, we decided to book in a maternity/newborn package and I wanted a country setting with golden light as I loved the look of these images! Our first session was while I was 37wks pregnant and involved my 3 wonderful step children and partner. The kids were a little shy at first but Kel made them feel comfortable and had them laughing not long into our shoot. Our second session was when our newest member was 3wks old and on the day, he decided he wanted to be fed the entire time. Kel was quick on her feet and came up with some different ideas to capture our images and was so patient and understanding of his needs. We ended up with some very special images and were that happy, I prebooked for another session when our youngest turned one. This was also an amazing shoot, with grandparents on both sides also attending. Thank you so much Kel!
